After resisting buying any more nerdy t-shirts for months - months, I tell you - I finally let myself buy two. This one, from xkcd, came in the mail yesterday. It's gorgeous - even better than I hoped. The design is very large on the shirt and very detailed (you can see the buttons on the calculator).

Stand Back!
After resisting buying any more nerdy t-shirts for months - months, I tell you - I finally let myself buy two. This one, from xkcd, came in the mail yesterday. This shows how long it's been since I've taken chemistry, but what would you expect to be in that beaker that is bubbling yet not too warm for our scientist to hold in his (presumably bare) hand? From where I stand, this looks sort of like magic.
Clearly it is just very advanced science, which is, as we all know, indistinguishable from magic.
(I'm not really sure, from the picture, whether it is bubbling or simply emitting fumes.)
