Trivial Math Problems

Sometimes I find myself trying to solve a math problem that turns out to be ridiculously trivial.

For instance, yesterday I was thinking about whether walking to work would be feasible. I live about 2.5 miles away from my job, and I could tolerate it if it took an hour to walk to work. How fast (in miles per hour) would I have to walk in order to cover 2.5 miles in one hour?

Oh yeah.

Hah, me too. This is a reason we didn't score an 800 on the quantitative GRE. (Actually "we" probably would have scored much worse working together than independently; the GRE as a group project sounds like a nightmare.)
